The project brief

The given tasks involve reading and analyzing two contrasting articles on climate change: one portraying it as catastrophic and unstoppable, while the other adopts an optimistic perspective, emphasizing technological innovation as the solution. After group discussions and mind mapping, individual brainstorming and concept development are required. The exploration phase involves studying master artists' mark-making techniques and applying them to drawings of chosen references. From the selected article, participants create visual compositions that communicate the author's viewpoint using scale, images, space, and perspective, incorporating elements like buildings or technology. The final stage includes refining the chosen composition over two days, scanning and digitally organizing the work for submission.
